Kilchoan Hotel is a privately-owned country inn that’s run with warmth, enthusiasm and great pride. We offer an authentic slice of the West Highland way of life – relaxed and hospitable, the Hotel is the perfect base for getting out and about in some of Scotland’s finest countryside.

Originally built as a shooting lodge in 1870, it’s home to a characterful – and often lively – village pub, a dedicated restaurant and seven bedrooms – six ensuite and one with a private bathroom. Not to mention the 10,000 acres of land it has on its doorstep, ready and waiting for you to explore.

Our Location

Kilchoan sits on the Southern shore of the stunning Ardnamurchan peninsula – which at its tip is the UK’s most Westerly point, making Kilchoan itself the Westernmost village on the UK mainland.

Met family here for impromptu lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were great and very accommodating with the kids food likes (dislikes). Came back for evening meal and had a mix from across the bar lunch & evening-menus and the restaurant menu. Brilliant but it was the staff that made it happen.

A truly amazing place to stay, amazing hosts, rooms were great, highly recommended. The food was delicious, I tried the specials, langoustines, all I can say is. Followed by steak that was cooked to perfection, a amazing hidden secret.
