Eating & Drinking

AT KILCHOAN

Ardnamurchan produces a wide range of quality produce and we always make sure that we source as much as we can locally. Our ever-changing menu is made up using locally caught seafood such as salmon, haddock mackerel, langoustines and mussels as well as locally farmed lamb, beef, venison, pork and mutton.  Our chef also sources a wide selection of vegetables and herbs from local growers, ensuring everything is a fresh and ethically produced as possible.

Our menu changes depending on what’s in season and what’s available.

Daily specials depend on the time of year and what’s in season. A combination of tried and tested dishes such as grilled ‘Old Spot’ pork chops and venison steaks from the Ardnamurchan estate, sit alongside old favourites like fish and chips and steak and stout pie. Our restaurant could be considered as a place for great quality, delicious pub-grub. We always offer at least one vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dish. Our hearty breakfasts also feature as much locally-sourced fresh ingredients as possible. A real favourite with our guests, a Kilchoan breakfast will set you up for the day no matter what you have planned.

Our dining room has a relaxing ambiance with lovely views out towards the Sound of Mull. We also have a large garden and our guests can eat outside when the Scottish weather permits!

We can also offer the best pub in Kilchoan to our guests. Granted, it’s the only pub in Kilchoan but it’s a real favourite with guests and members of the local village. It has a lovely, friendly atmosphere, a great selection of wines, beers and spirits and often some impromptu live music!

Naturally, we’re big on whisky and have a fine range of blends and malts, including special bottlings from the nearby Adelphi Distillery, as well as an eclectic selection of other famous and rare Scottish malts.

We’re very proud of our ever-changing range of locally sourced Scottish beers too. We also stock bottled real ales from excellent local providers like the Oban Bay or Isle of Mull Breweries. In winter we like to get the open fire going to keep everyone cozy and comfortable.

So, if you’re staying at Kilchoan Hotel or are just passing by, you’ll find that the food and drink on offer are not to be missed.

We hope to see you soon!
